Talk To Address Health Impact Of Fracked Gas

1640

Dr. Susan Racine, a member of Massachusetts Health Care Providers Against Fracked Gas, will speak at 7:00 p.m. April 6, 2017 at 11 Pierce Street, Public Health Building, Denny Room, Brookline, МА 02445.

The gas used to heat homes and cook is now largely obtained by hydraulic fracturing or “fracking,” a method of natural gas extraction. Racine’s presentation will focus on potentially harmful health effects resulting from the fracking technique itself and from associated processes, such as forest clearing, water pollution, gas release, compressors and pipelines.

This talk will be presented by Mothers Out Front Brookline, a grass roots organization of Brookline mothers and others who have come together to address the imminent threats of climate change to our children’s future, as part of Brookline Health Week.
