The Brookline Police Department Patrol Division is offering an exciting opportunity to all 5th graders in the Town of Brookline to become the police chief for a day!

Contest:

Submit an essay no more than 500 words in response to the question, “If you were police chief for a day, how would you make Brookline a safer place?” Essays must be received by April 28, 2017.

Eligibility:

Must be in the 5th grade and attend a school in Brookline (public or private).

Winner:

The winner of the essay contest will be selected by the Chief for a Day Committee to participate in an educational and fun-filled day of police activities on WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, 2017, including: being issued a uniform, ceremonial swearing in as Police Chief, participating in scenarios/activities specific to each of our 4 police divisions and attending a luncheon as the guest of honor with Brookline Police Chief Daniel O’ Leary, the Chief for a Day Committee, and your family and guests
