The Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) Action Fund has endorsed Bill MacGregor for election as 10th Suffolk District State Representative, a credit to his commitment to the environment and climate action. Issues of environmental justice, public health, transportation, and energy policy are inextricably linked. Because of this, we need leaders at every level of government who will call for ambitious action.

“Bill MacGregor has quickly established himself as a strong advocate for climate action and environmental justice on Beacon Hill,” said Casey Bowers, Executive Director of the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund. “From improving public transit access to protecting wildlife and public health, he has championed policies that will make Massachusetts healthier, more equitable, and more sustainable.”
Bill MacGregor is running for the 10th Suffolk seat in the House of Representatives, a position he has held since winning the special election in 2023 to fill Rep. Coppinger’s vacant seat. Since being elected, MacGregor’s legislative accomplishments toward addressing climate change have focused both on reducing emissions and lessening environmental impacts.
MacGregor has been a leading advocate for an equitable and robust MBTA, including expanding service into Roslindale and making the commuter rail more affordable by filing legislation to place his district in the same commuter zone as the rest of Boston. He has also co-sponsored communities and legislation to restrict the use of toxic rodenticides, which harm wildlife, contaminate ecosystems, and pose risks to public health.
“I am honored to earn the endorsement of the ELM Action Fund,” said MacGregor. “They have been a vital force in protecting our environment, and their partnership is critical as we work to build a healthier Commonwealth. Their recognition means a great deal to me and reinforces the work we have been doing on Beacon Hill for our constituents. I will continue to build cleaner, healthier communities that are accessible and affordable for future generations.”
MacGregor’s priorities in the 2026 election include promoting a just, green economy, expanding and electrifying public transit, and supporting environmental justice communities.
